(ATLANTA) – Today, Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) issued the following statement: 

“As on-campus demonstrations continue in Georgia’s Fifth Congressional District and across the country, I will remain in close contact with officials from our local colleges and universities. As part of these ongoing conversations, I will do everything in my power to protect the rights to peacefully protest and the safety of all students in Georgia’s Fifth Congressional District.

“Emory University has an obligation to ensure the safety of all students, faculty and staff on their campus without impeding the rights of students to assemble.”
