ATLANTA – Today, Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) announced Georgia gained 21,100 jobs in October and 154,400 total jobs this year, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Congresswoman Williams helped local businesses create jobs by passing the American Rescue Plan and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Plan that was recently signed into law. Congresswoman Williams continues working to help Georgia create even more jobs by passing the Build Back Better Act. Since President Joe Biden took office, nearly 5.6 million jobs have been gained nationwide.

“The latest jobs report shows that President Biden’s economic plan is working and we are getting Georgians back to work,” said Congresswoman Williams. “Still, my work is far from over. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will build off the momentum of the American Rescue plan by creating millions more good-paying jobs and rebuilding America’s infrastructure year after year so we can truly Build Back Better.”
