Congresswoman Nikema Williams Statement on Anti-Abortion Legislative Package

WASHINGTON Today, Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) issued the following statement after voting against anti-abortion legislative package.

Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05), a member of the Congressional Pro-Choice Caucus said:

“Today I voted against the latest attack on reproductive freedom. With H.R. 26 and H.CON.RES 3, extreme MAGA Republicans are racing toward their goal of a nationwide ban on abortion with no exceptions. Meanwhile, Democrats are united in our commitment to protect the right to control our bodies. The American people sent a clear message in November: politicians have no place in the room when we make personal medical decisions. The American people want us to protect reproductive freedom and access to essential health care and I am doing exactly that.”
