(WASHINGTON) – Today, Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) issued the following statement:

“Extreme MAGA Republicans continue to create crisis after crisis. For this week’s crisis, they brought us to the brink of a third government shutdown after wasting time pushing their anti-abortion agenda. Once again, House Democrats put people over politics, pushing back against House Republicans’ dangerous agenda by voting to keep the federal government open. The American people want Congress to put money back in their pockets instead of playing political games. House Democrats will continue to deliver for the people and govern responsibly for everyone–no matter your ZIP Code, no matter your bank account.”
