WASHINGTON Today, Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) issued the following statement on the continuing extreme MAGA Republican Chaos:

“It’s been 14 days and House Republicans are still caught in chaos, because they refuse to  abandon MAGA extremism. The American people need Congress to work in our time of crisis. Republicans respond by trying and failing again to elect MAGA Extremist Jim Jordan as Speaker of the House. Jim Jordan is dangerous – he helped lead Trump’s effort to overturn the 2020 election and has spent his career working to criminalize abortion nationwide and slash Social Security and Medicare.

“Enough is enough. It’s clear that Congress’ only path forward is a bipartisan one. House Democrats are committed to putting people over politics and governing responsibly. Republicans have a choice: continue to bow to MAGA extremists or work with Democrats to deliver for the people.”
