ATLANTA – Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) released the following statement on President Trump’s threat of war crimes in his Truth Social post about Iran:

“Saying, ‘A whole civilization will die tonight,’ should be enough to end a presidency. Donald Trump is unfit to serve as the leader of the free world, commander in chief, or even to hold a government position. Every Cabinet member and Republican who is silent on Trump’s blatant threat to humanity is betraying the American people and their duty to check the presidency. I joined H. Res. 939, Articles of Impeachment, in January, and since then, the urgency to remove this man from office has only increased. We cannot stand by as the president of the United States threatens war crimes. Impeach Trump now.”
