Congresswoman Nikema Williams to Help In-Need Veterans Secure Benefits

ATLANTA – On Monday, July 31 at 11:00 AM, Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) will host an event to help in-need Veterans secure their benefits. Congresswoman Williams will update Veterans on the PACT Act, historic legislation Congresswoman Williams helped pass, that will help millions of Veterans who were exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances. Veterans who file claims for PACT Act benefit before August 9, may be eligible for benefits backdated to August 10, 2022. Representatives from multiple Veterans Service Organizations (VSOs) will also be in attendance including: Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Benefits Administration, and AMVETS.  The event will take place at Vicars Community Center, 834 Cascade Ave SW, Atlanta, GA 30311.
