WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) released the following statement after her NO vote to the partisan continuing resolution proposed by House Republicans:

Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) said: 

“Republicans are already ripping Medicaid away from hundreds of thousands of working families across the country in the name of billionaire tax cuts, and now their refusal to extend ACA premium tax credits will only make the problem worse.

I voted no on the Republican continuing resolution that does nothing to address this growing crisis. At a time when families are already struggling with rising costs and a shrinking job market, increasing health care premiums will only harm working families in the Fighting Fifth and across the country. House Democrats stand ready to work for the people and fight the rising cost of living.”
